Kyra knox
Kyra Knox is an Emmy Award Winning Director who understands the power of storytelling. Her work has been featured in Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter, NPR's Morning Edition, Axios, Filmmaker Magazine, and more, highlighting her directorial debut, Bad Things Happen In Philadelphia, executive produced by NBA legend Allen Iverson.
Driven by a passion for storytelling, Kyra transitioned from a full-time job to pursue a career in directing and producing. Since then, Kyra has worked with clients such as the Philadelphia Eagles, Johnson & Johnson, Chevrolet, and more. Her filmmaking approach fosters a deep connection with the audience and the talent in every project she directs. This stems from her belief in respecting and caring for each person's story.
Kyra has been a 2023 Sundance Intensive Producer Fellow, a 2024 Sundance Advisor for Documentary Filmmaking, and, most recently, a Story Producer for the docu-series Spirit, executive produced by Steph Curry, streaming on Xfinity Black Experience, coming soon to Peacock. Her dedication has been recognized with numerous awards, including Producer of the Year at the Shorty Impact Awards, seven Shorty Impact Awards, eleven Telly Awards, four Communicator Awards, two Addys, and two Mosaic Awards.
Kyra is known for her infectious enthusiasm and commitment to creating a safe and collaborative environment on set.
